The Annual Space Derby is Saturday November 15th @ Cross of Glory Church, located at 14719 W 163rd St, Homer Glen. The rules & procedures can be found in the Forms and Documents section. The schedule for the day is as follows:
12:00pm - 12:30pm Registration
12:30pm – 1:00pm Contest Voting - Most Original, Most Colorful, & Coolest Looking Rocket
1:00pm – 1:10pm Flag Ceremony
1:10pm – 5:00pm Races and Trophy presentations
Please note that we are aiming to finish the event sometime between 4:00 & 5:00 PM. The exact finish time depends on several factors, to include the number of rockets that are racing and how smoothly the races go (keep your fingers crossed). Since the event will take most of the afternoon, we will be selling items such as hot dogs, chips, pop, water and candy. Any money made from these sales goes directly into the pack account and will benefit our scouts.
All rockets will be entered into a double elimination bracket via a blind draw. This will guarantee each scout a minimum of 2 races. All scouts are to dress in full uniform.
