Pack 64 is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 15 from 7:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. The breakfast will be held at the Lockport VFW Post 5788 located at 1026 East 9th Street. Many packs and troops have had great success with pancake breakfasts and spaghetti dinners as fundraising opportunities. We have a great pack, and know we can make this a huge success if everyone pitches in!
We will need as many hands as possible for the planning and executing of the breakfast! We will need volunteers the day of the event to help the scouts run this event run smoothly:
- Collecting tickets at the door
- Cooking in the kitchen
- Keeping the food trays full of food
- Keeping beverages full
- Keeping plates and utensils stocked
- Clearing tables
- Keeping new placemats on the tables
- Clean-up afterward
Of course, our boys will be responsible for many of these tasks, and we want them to be! This is a great opportunity for our scouts to show off what wonderful young men they are! But, we’ll need parent volunteers to assist them as well!
In order for this event to be a success, we are requiring each scout to sell 2-sheets of tickets. That is 12 tickets total. This includes any tickets you need for your own family. The costs are as follows: Adults: $7.00 ($8.00 at the door), Seniors: $6.00 ($7.00 at the door), Children ages 3-10: $5.00 ($6.00 at the door) and Children under age 3 are free. The original 12 tickets will be distributed at the next Pack Meeting on Monday, January 26th. (Extra tickets will be available)
We are also going to be creating placemats with advertising on them for local businesses. We will charge $25 per business to have their company’s business card advertised on the placemats. We will be photocopying all the participating businesses’ business cards onto large paper to be used as placemats. We are asking each scout to sell one business-card-sized spot for the placemats. We’re hoping to have enough ads to create two different placemats!
We will be awarding prizes to the top 3 sellers in tickets and placemat ad sales. Prizes will be based on the total amount of sales for the Pack and awarded at the April Pack meeting
